THE NEHSAA

CODE OF ETHICS

This Code of Ethics of the NUEVA ECIJA HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (NEHSAA or the Association) sets the standards of ethical behavior for members of the Association towards each other and towards all the various constituencies of the Association as well as for the general public.

Vision

  • The NEHSAA is a community of alumni of the Nueva Ecija High School (NEHS) dedicated to uphold the high standards of education of the NEHS, to the tasks of community and nation building, and to the promotion of camaraderie and friendship among fellow alumni.

Mission

  • The NESHAA shall actively engage in the fields of education , social and civic service. It shall endeavor to be a catalyst for change at the NEHS, in the community in which it exists and in the country which nurtures it In the process it shall, at all times,through its members, observe and uphold the values of integrity, loyalty to the Association, and social and civic responsibility.

Guiding Principles

  • The NEHS Alumnus holds the status of being a graduate of a distinguished and revered public secondary school, rich in tradition and renowned for its academic excellence. As such he/ she should conduct himself/ herself in all his/ her dealings, in a manner consistent with the highest moral and ethical principles.

  • The Board of Directors, the Council of Advisers , and the Officers of the NEHSAA should be guided by the principles of fairness , accountability, and transparency in all their acts and in the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities .

VALUES AND RULES OF CONDUCT

  1. Integrity. NEHSAA members should conduct their personal and professional lives in an ethical and morally upright manner. They should avoid acts which would tend to reflect negatively on the Association , and should commit to uphold the highest standards of integrity in their relationship with the Association , among themselves , and the public at large.

  2. Loyalty and Service. NEHSAA members should be loyal to the NEHS (the school) and to the NEHSAA acting only in the best interests of the School and the Association . They should work towards the attainment of legitimate goals and objectives of both the NEHS and the NEHSAA and participate in their various projects and activities. The members should be open to contributing on a purely voluntary basis, skills and resources for the promotion and advancement of the Association 's and the School's interests.

  3. Commitment and Dedication. NEHSAA members should commit to attend all regular meetings of the NEHSAA and proactively participate in activities that will further accelerate the realization of its goals and objectives.

  4. Social and Civic Responsibility. NEHSAA members should, whenever possible, harness their energies in the service of nation building and in making the NEHS a better Institution of learning, searching for opportunities to get involved, in a sustained and active manner, in public or civic affairs for the betterment of the School, the community, and the country.
